ESPA DANCEWEAR REQUIREMENTS

 

To achieve a uniform look, which is an important part of the discipline of the dance class, we are requiring the following dancewear/styles for students.  The studio carries tights year-round and orders required class leotards- all other dancewear is available at area dancewear stores

 

BALLET

 

Females

ESPA Required Leotards – Color designated by level; all colors available at Dance Depot in South Daytona

Pre Ballet & Tap - Pale Pink

Primary Ballet & Tap - Eggplant

Prep Ballet & Tap - Flamingo Pink 

Jr Intermediate Ballet - Turquoise

Pro Track-all levels- black camisole leotard (may be ordered through the studio or on your own)

Teen/Adult Ballet- any solid color leotard

Tights- All ballet classes- Pink convertible-available at the studio 

Pink canvas ballet slippers- available at dance wear stores

Optional- for colder months:

       Pre-Ballet-Prep A  levels-pink wrap sweater and pink legwarmers

       Sr. Intermediate-Pro Track Levels- black wrap sweater, pink legwarmers

 

Males

White T-shirt, black tights, black or white canvas ballet slippers, dance belt

 

MODERN

 

Junior and Teen - Any solid color leotard.

All other levels - Same leotard as ballet, tan or black convertible tights,

JAZZ

Junior and Teen - Any solid color leotard.

Pro Track - Same leotard as ballet,  tan  tights,  black jazz shorts (optional)

Tan jazz shoes Bloch-Tan or Capezio-Caramel

Pro Track C –Tan Pedini Femme Jazz shoe

 

HIP  HOP   

 

Leotard or T-shirt, sweat pants or jazz pants, jazz shoes or converse sneakers with white soles that are not worn outside

 

MUSICAL THEATRE /TAP

 

Same attire as Jazz

Tan Tap shoes- Mary Jane style  with strap for Tap I & II

                          Split sole slip-on for Tap III/IV

 

OTHER

 

Dance Bag to carry all required dancewear clearly labeled with dancer’s name and  hair kit with elastics, hairnets, hair pins and gel or spray, first aid kit with Band-Aids, toe tape for pointe dancers, anti-bacterial hand sanitizer and yoga mat for floor work in Modern class.

 

Pro Track students should also keep a notebook (exclusively for dance class), pencil and ballet dictionary
